The E.C.C Method – Parental Coaching Certification

Empowering Professionals to Guide Families toward Growth and Resilience

The E.C.C Method
A Unique Professional Tool

The E.C.C. (Emotional Cognitive Coaching) method is an evidence-based approach designed to support parents of children with learning disabilities and ADHD. Unlike traditional guidance, the E.C.C. approach focuses on the parent’s internal world, self-awareness, and cognitive-emotional processes. It guides parents through a journey of understanding their own feelings while providing new cognitive insights that lead to more effective behavioral patterns.

This unique method was developed by Dr. Maly Danino, CEO of the Nitzan Association. It is rooted in sound theoretical principles, including psychoanalytical, cognitive, and behavioral theories, as well as the three-stage model developed by Dr. Clara E. Hill. The E.C.C. method has received significant recognition both in Israel and abroad for its ability to address parents’ particular needs and challenges. The foundational principles of the program are detailed in Dr. Danino’s book, “Coach Your Child to Success” (2011), which serves as the professional manual and has been translated into English, Arabic, Lithuanian, and Latvian.

About the Training Program

The Nitzan Association’s Parental Coaching Certification is a comprehensive professional program based on the Emotional Cognitive Coaching (E.C.C) method. This evidence-based approach has been a cornerstone of parental support in Israel and internationally for over 15 years.

The program equips professionals with a structured, goal-oriented framework to assist parents of children with ADHD and Learning Disabilities (LD). By focusing on the parent as the “natural coach of his child”, the E.C.C method creates sustainable change within the family dynamic.

Who is this program for?

The certification is designed for professionals in the fields of education, therapy, and coaching, including:

  • Educational counselors and teachers.
  • Social workers and therapists.

As a certified E.C.C coach, you will learn how to:

  • Empowerment Techniques: Provide parents with practical, daily tools for conflict resolution and empathetic communication.
  • Strengthen Self-Efficacy: Build the parent’s confidence in their own ability to lead and support their family.
