This study examined two therapeutic approaches group counseling and individual coaching for parents of children with learning disabilities (LD), who often face high levels of stress and emotional strain.
Involving 169 parents, the research compared both methods’ effects on parental stress, coping, and perceived support. Results showed that both interventions led to better outcomes than no treatment, with group counseling proving especially effective in reducing stress. The findings highlight the unique power of group counseling, where bonding with the therapist or group emerged as a key factor in improving parents’ well-being and coping abilities.
